Vinyl Covered Gyproc in a Mobile Home

Question from Terry in Penticton, B.C. -----

Hi Shell

We have a mobile home with vinyl covered gyproc walls with wood strips on the joints, can we remove the strips, fill in the joints and paint? If so could you recommend proper paints etc.

Thank you,

To Terry,

If you want to remove the strips, my recommendation is to replace them with a small bead of acrylic latex caulking, smooth it out and allow to cure. Wash your wall with Shell Busey’s Home Cleaning Formula. Rinse well and allow to dry. Paint your walls using best quality acrylic latex interior wall finish in an eggshell sheen. Apply with a nap roller (not a foam roller).

It's Just That Easy!
