Low Water Pressure

Questions from John -----

Dear Shell,

I have a question regarding water pressure. We are on city water and the house we live in seems to have the lowest water pressure I have ever seen in any residence I have lived in or visited. Are you aware of any solution to this problem?

Dear John,

Make sure that the main water shut-off valve on the water inlet is fully open.

Typically, water pressure can be adjusted at the pressure-reducing valve on the entry water line into your home. I do not advise that the homeowner do this.

Please contact a plumbing contractor to make this adjustment. Also please check the aerators on your faucets as they may be filled up with sand residue from your water supply and pipes impeding the water flow.

It's Just That Easy!
