Snow accumulation on the roof - July 3rd 2000

Question from: Stan

Dear Shell,

I have a cabin roof that does not shed the snow. The roof pitch is 12 X 12 with no exposed screws. The texture of the metal paint is not completely smooth. Is there a paint I can use to redo the finish so the roof will shed? Now the metal roof holds the snow until spring.

Thanks, Stan

Dear Stan,

Some texture roofs tend to retain snow because of the heat loss in underneath causing a thin film ice giving the snow something to hold onto. I suggest you clean the roof using my Shell Busey’s Home Cleaning Formula and rinse well. Apply 2 coats of Nyalic 24 hours apart call 1-800-643-7851 for info.

It’s just that easy.
