Restoring Parquet Wood Flooring - November 21st 2006

Dear Shell,

We have a "parquet" type wood flooring in our basement living room. I want to restore it. How would I accomplish this? It gets a lot of traffic and sometimes gets wet as there is an exterior exit door.

Thanks, Claude

Dear Claude,

Clean/dewax the floor with mineral spirits and allow to dry.

Wash the floor with my home cleaning formula powder (medium mixture)

Rinse well and allow to dry.

Use the Flecto Varathane Renewal system to refinish. It will give you a very hard, serviceable finish.

CAUTION: WHEN USING MINERAL SPIRITS YOU MUST HAVE A WELL VENTED ROOM AND NO OPEN FLAME (ie: PILOT LIGHTS). WEAR RUBBER GLOVES AND EYE PROTECTION.

It's just that easy.
