Remove Black Scratches in Toilet Bowl - December 16th 2009
Q. I have a 10-year-old porcelain toilet that has dark marks inside the toilet bowl caused by the wires of an old toilet bowl brush that I used to clean with. What can I use to get rid of these black marks?
A: To clean use a ceramic tile grout cleaner or porcelain cleaner such as "Mothers Choice". The most important thing is to first empty the bowl by sponging all the water out of the trap. Then using a non-scratch pot scrubber pad (i.e.: Scotch Brite Scrub Sponge) apply Mothers Choice cleaner to the black scratches. After removing the marks, rinse well, flush the toilet and you are finished.
