Instant Hot Water at Every Faucet - February 3rd 2017
It's a problem many people have in their homes. You go to turn on the faucet, to wash your dishes or take a shower, and have to wait for the water to heat up to the desired temperature. Depending on where in your home the hot water tank is located, and the location of your faucet, this could take anywhere from 10 seconds to upwards of a minute, and in that time, litres of precious water is needlessly flushed down the drain.
If this sounds like a common occurrence in your home, there is a simple solution that can help you conserve water, energy, and save you money. The Autocirc, by Laing Thermotech is an instant hot water circulation pump that can retrofit any homes plumbing system, providing you with hot water at any faucet in the home instantly.
How the Autocirc works:
The Autocirc is an incredibly efficient system, turning on only when the system needs to be replenished with hot water. The Pump is installed under the sink farthest from the water heater where hot water takes the longest to arrive. No recirculation line is required, and the autocirc is compatible with both traditional and tankless (on demand) water heating systems.
A built in temperature sensor automatically turns the pump on when water temperature in the hot water line cools down to 85 degrees Fahrenheit . Water is then pumped from the hot to cold line. Hot water will also be instantly available at all other faucets located on the hot water supply line between the water heater and the faucet where the Autocirc is installed.
The Autocirc Pump turns off automatically when water temperature reaches 95 degrees Fahrenheit, ensuring instant availability of shower warm water with maximum temperature hot water only seconds behind. When the pump is off, a built-in auto closure device prevents any other hot-to-cold line or cold-to-hot line mix.
Why install an Autocirc in your home?
The Autocirc saves energy, money, and water, in fact within a single year, one Autocirc unit can save the average family of 4 up to 65,000 litres of water. It also has a built in 24 hour timer, and fixed thermostat (adjustable thermostat is optional) which allows the selection of system operating periods to suit your family's usage, and is completely silent when in operation.
Only one Autocirc pump is required for all fixtures on your hot water plumbing line, requiring only 33 Watts of power, and no return line is required making the installation of an Autocirc very easy.
