Cleaning the inside logs of a log home - June 19th 2000

Question from: David

Dear Shell,

I constructed a log home by myself, it took me three years. My logs got UV burned in the process. I removed the UV burn on the outside with a product called WOOD RENEW from permachink. It worked well but required pressure washing. We are living in the house and what I need is something to clean the inside logs without flooding us out. Do you know of anything that would work?

Thanks, David

Dear David,

To bring back the natural wood look I would suggest Wood Wash and Wood Brightener. It will take some elbow grease but will be worth it. Apply with a trigger bottle, scrub with Scotch Brite pad and rinse with clean water and sponge. In both cases for more information call 1-800-858-5011. Consider Super Natural for finish afterwards made by the same company.

Its just that easy.
