The end of January marked the four-year anniversary of the province’s announcement of a licensing program for B.C. home inspectors. On January 30, 2009 a news release issued by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General, John van Dongen, announced the regulation of the home inspection under Consumer Protection BC, declaring, “… consumers need to have confidence that the person who is doing the inspection has the qualifications to make a professional assessment”.

In 2011, Durabuilt Windows & Doors participated in their first Movember. With 52 Dudes, they raised over $16,000 and placed 120th among 29,365 teams across Canada. This year the team has expanded to 62 Durabuilt Dudes and 10 Durabuilt Dudettes- all raising funds and most importantly awareness about Men’s Health. Registration closed and new deadline for post-retrofit evaluations
The renewed ecoENERGY Retrofit - Homes program has reached its goal of 250,000 registered homeowners and is now closed to new registrations.
