Maintenance:

Every 6 months service your hot water heater to remove sediment and other material that lower the unit’s efficiency.

Attach a garden hose to bottom faucet on your hot water heater and turn the faucet on. Allow the water to run into a drain until clear. Normally approximately 10 – 15 litres of water will be drained to clear the residual that settles on top of the boiler heater reducing the efficiency of your heater. To complete the project, reverse the procedure and repeat every 6 months.
