I live in a five-year old home with in-floor heating. I asked the retailer who installed the in-floor heating if I should check the glycol for deterioration. He said he was not sure. Would you have a suggestion if I should have the system checked or as it is a closed system do I have to worry?
All hot water radiant heating systems (hydronic boilers) should be tuned up every year before the heating season begins. A thorough checkup will include a testing and evaluation of the fluids within the system.
